Gordon Shields, Chairman and Founder

Gordon Shields founded Shields Environmental in 1979 and quickly adopted the challenge of making environmental excellence a part of everyday business.

Gordon has since received continual recognition for his 25 years of experience in developing cutting-edge environmental management capabilities and other aspects of corporate responsibility.

Gordon sits on the Leadership Board of Business in the Community's (BITC) Environment Division, a position he has held since 1996. In addition, Gordon was invited by the UK's Environment Minister to serve on a steering group that assisted the UK government in meeting its recycling and landfill diversion targets. More recently, he was appointed to a UK government Business Task Force on Sustainability. Gordon is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) for his contribution to the environment. He has also contributed to the efforts of the United Nations Environmental Programme. Gordon is also a non-executive director of Regenersis plc

Toni Gibbs, Vice President, North America

Toni Gibbs is the founder of the Florida business and remains an Executive Team member of the North American operation. Toni gained 17 years of extensive experience in the areas of redeployed equipment sales and marketing working with various companies in the USA, before establishing A&T in January 2002. Shields acquired A&T in 2003 to facilitate growth within the North American markets. As Vice President, North America, Toni continues to head the Florida business unit on a day-to-day basis, as well as, further building Shields' equipment and services offerings in the Americas market.

Alan Sableski, Director of Operations

Alan Sableski’s main focus at Shields Environmental is to equip the sales team with the tools and information they need to provide the best customer service in the telecom industry. He is responsible for streamlining operations, improving information systems and developing quality processes so Shields customers receive accurate information and quality product quickly and cost effectively. Prior to entering the telecom industry in 1997, Alan spent 5 years with United Parcel Service where he received invaluable management training that has provided the tools and perspective for increasing operational efficiency and providing accurate information. Alan and his wife are devoted to serving their church and community. He has served on the Board of his church and has led Royal Rangers for 12 years. 

Hasnain Karim, Chief Financial Officer 

Hasnain joined the Company in March 2007, with 9 years experience in the accounting profession with PricewaterhouseCoopers and twice as many years in principal financial positions in commerce and industry. After joining Shields, Hasnain has made the US accounting autonomous and continues to cope with its steady growth. Prior to joining Shields, Hasnain played a pivotal role as Group Finance & Administration Manger in the systematic and profitable expansion of TSS Group of Companies, employing 400 and involved in manufacturing sector as well as international trade – both imports and exports. Hasnain is a globe trotter having visited 18 countries and speaking 6 languages – has now settled down to walking different golf courses. 

Bob Rudeau, Manager Professional Services

Bob Rudeau joined Shields in March 2008 as a National Account Sales Representative. In June of 2008, Bob was asked to manage Shields test lab and professional services team in Sanford, Florida. His responsibilities as the Manager of Professional Services include the Test Lab, Field Engineers and Warehouse Operations. Bob is a veteran of the US Air Force and has over 25 years of experience in Data and Telecommunications, 15 years of which he was the Director of Network Operations for Beneficial Finance. He has belonged to various quality councils over the years and is focused on the continual growth of the test lab and improving the quality of the products being delivered. Bob is an avid fisherman competing in many local bass tournaments.  

Patricia Lemoine, Sales and Purchasing Manager

Since joining Shields Environmental in 2004 Patricia has held advancing positions in purchasing management and sales. She relocated from the Northeast to join the Florida facility in 2005. In her current position, she is responsible for the oversight of daily sales and purchasing for Shields North America. Prior to joining Shields, Patricia specialized in data networking for Somera Communications EMEA/AP and US offices.

Bill Brown, Quality Assurance Manager

Bill Brown joined Shields North America in September 2008 and has made many improvements to the Quality Management System, including preparing to lead Shields into TL 9000 registration in 2009. He has worked in many different departments during his 12 years in the Telecom industry including Finance, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, Project Management and Quality. Prior to joining Shields, he worked with Telmar Network Technology’s Florida subsidiary and was responsible for directing that facility’s push toward obtaining ISO 9001 re-certification. Before working in the Telecom industry, Bill was a Programmer and Systems Analyst and a Data Processing Manager for a period of 14 years in the distribution industry in Puerto Rico.

Mike Angeline, Environmental Risk and Asset Disposal Manager

Mike’s focus at Shields is to set up infrastructure to handle the processing of material to be recycled.  He is responsible for training operations staff to dismantle equipment into recycling streams that create best returns for our customers.  He also meets with current customers and develops new ones to discuss disposal needs and offer environmental audit services for facility issues such as mold, groundwater, asbestos, etc.  He has 21 years of project management experience in the Environmental Services industry and extensive experience in private, public and both State and Federal Government sectors of environmental industry. Mike was last employed as the Director of Operations and Senior Project Manager for Florida Environmental Compliance Corporation’s operations in Orlando, Florida and satellite offices around the U.S.
