For over 30 years Shields Environmental has provided a variety of products and services to the global telecom market. Market indicators demonstrate carriers continue to reduce their capital expenditures by reusing legacy equipment and narrowing their vendor choices to those whom can provide more than the typical “sale or repair of equipment” service. At the request of our customers, Shields has combined a variety of our trusted services to launch its NEW WIRED Program to our North American and CALA customers. This program allows our customers the benefit of choosing one program that provides them with warranty services, inventory management services, testing/repair services, exchange services and disposition services. Providing our customers with the most economical way to procure and repair equipment using current market value versus the old adage of a “locked in” repair contract. With the continued decline in value of wireline and wireless equipment, it is becoming ever more economical to exchange vs. repair. However, to do this, you must have a trusted vendor who will test and provide solid warranties for this equipment. Our systems are designed to establish a “real time” value and make the most economical decision between exchange vs. repair, taking into consideration timeframe, cost of shipping, exchange value and much more.
Similar to its exchange services, Shields also offers warranty exchange services. Shields will obtain the warranty equipment from the original vendor, on behalf of its customer, thus eliminating the administrative time associated with obtaining warranty returns for our customers. The known good unit is then returned to our customer for immediate use.
